Monarch Wildlife Cruises

Unrivalled viewings of wildlife in its nature environment - see what cannot be seen from land. Tours include one hour cruises, half and full day cruises and bus tours; these tours can take you to Penguin Place, Albatross colony, Larnach Castle or Aquarium.

Penguin Place

This reserve is a private conservation effort to save the world's most endangered penguin from extinction and is funded entirely through profits from this tour operation. You are offered the opportunity to visit a working conservation programme. To experience and photograph undisturbed activity at close range through a unique system of hides and tunnels.

Albatross Colony

Visit the world's only Mainland Albatross Colony. Take a guided tour to see these wonderful birds with their 3 metre wingspan. Tour Fort Taiaroa, the Historic harbour defences concealed beneath the albatross colony.

Nature's Wonders

Come and be apart of this amazing safari - travel on an 8 wheel drive all terrain vehicle for an exhilarating cross country tour. Here you can see New Zealand Fur seals, Sea Lions, a large variety of birdlife and of course the Yellow Eyed Penguins.

Larnach Castle

Visit New Zealand's only castle. Larnach Castle was built in 1871, view the magnificent architecture, superb craftsmanship, tragic and scandalous history, NZ antiques, gardens, tower view, Ballroom Café and Larnach Lodge.

Taieri Gorge Railway

The Taieri Gorge Train takes you on a journey through the rugged and spectacular Taieri River Gorge, across wrought iron viaducts and through tunnels carved by hand more than 100 years ago. With full commentary, photographic stops, comfortable heating in winter and on board refreshments the train offers year round, all-weather entertainment.

Cadbury World

A sensation in sight, smell and sound. Experience the mystique of a working chocolate factory, sample and purchase Cadbury products and much more. Cadbury World is located in the centre of Dunedin city at the Cadbury Factory site. The Visitors Centre is a colourful and educational environment with chocolate themed displays where you can learn about the history of Cadbury and chocolate through the ages.

Speight's Brewery Tour

The Speight's Tour is an award winning, informative and interactive tour through a working brewery and heritage centre. You will see, smell, touch and taste the ingredients that go into making Speight's beer and discover how Speight's became a legend in the South.

Olveston

Olveston is an eloquent expression of one man's dream. A tour of Olveston allows an intimate glimpse of the lifestyle of a privileged family in the early 1900's. It reflects a lifestyle enjoyed by just a few, but represents a most important piece in the mosaic of early New Zealand life as a whole.

Baldwin Street

Just off North Road, North East Valley This is what the Guinness Book of Records said about this street. It takes 15 minutes to walk up the street which appears more difficult than it actually is. Once at the top you can relax on a seat and have a drink at the drinking fountain. If you want a certificate to say that you have climbed it you can have one for just $2.00 or make your own!
